A reconfigurable soft actuator

(Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences) Researchers at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have developed a method to change the shape of a flat sheet of elastomer, using actuation that is fast, reversible, controllable by an applied voltage, and reconfigurable to different shapes.
